"We had a wonderful experience with Intervention Associates.
Six years ago, my mother fell in Florida and broke her hip. She was taken to a Florida hospital where they repaired her hip, but she never fully came out of the anesthesia. She was never quite right after that. My husband and I flew her home from Florida and she was taken by ambulance to a rehab, but she didn’t do well there. They couldn’t get her to do their rehab program, and she fell out of bed a couple of times. We moved her to a different rehab, and they couldn’t get her to do their program either. They insisted we use their aides, but they weren’t always available to help my mother, and she got bedsores. We decided to move her to my house.
We looked around at several agencies. A physician at Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania recommended Intervention Associates to my brother. Judy Siderer, the care manager, came out to the rehab to meet my mother and then came to my house. My mother moved into my home and then four of Intervention Associates’ home care aides came in to help her: Rose, Patsy, Anna and Mary — my four angels. We got along beautifully. They were professional. They were like part of my family.
Later, other aides came to take care of my mother. Almost from the beginning, she needed total care, and we had it 24 hours, 7 days a week.
One of the things I really liked was that if I wasn’t happy with something, or with a person who came to the house, I just called Judy and she took care of it. I never saw that person again. Judy was very supportive; she always gave me all the time I needed.
Intervention Associates managed the care very well. I’ve highly recommended them to two people I know, and one person already contacted Judy."
